To animate flags inside Century, we needed something realistic but optimized.
So I decided to use VAT tech to bake a vellum animation from Houdini inside a texture, then read it inside UE4 shader to animate the flags.
I made the animation loop inside Houdini.
Flags are static meshes with animated vertices.

I only worked on the animation of the flag, modification of UVs, creation of flag shader.
Thanks to all my teammates involved in the creation of these flags and its environment.
