Egg Hatching of a legendary dragon
Egg Hatching made on Houdini with RBD simulation.
Due to the amount of destructible eggs, I had to create a procedural tool inside Houdini, that allows me to easily tweaks some parameters to make the fracture of the egg procedurally.
The simulation of the hatching is done by taking the animation of the baby dragon as a movable collision.
The fractured egg is then reimported inside UE4 as a FBX with its custom animation.
